Cleaner for your instruments

Please always test the cleaner on a small spot on the instrument´s varnish before application on a large-area to make sure the instrument´s varnish does not get dissolved.

• Cleaners for string instruments have this disadvantage:

The dust of the resin which falls on the varnish by playing the string instrument combines itself with the varnish especially at warm temperatures. Little asperities occure.

In the same way impurities caused by exhalation impureness and also adhesion caused by physical contact (hand holding area, rips in the area of chin and neck).

An emulsion will not be able to clean these impurities. Because of the varnish being very sensitive at each type of solvents (especially alcohol), the cleaners had to be too aggressive for cleaning your instrument.
Thus in our opinion all the cleaning emulsions are only maintenance for a cleaned instrument.
There is only one exception: The Miracle Cloth copes with these impurtities without affecting/harming the varnish.

• Another useful tip for cleaning the strings:

This works fine with alcohol (Isopropyhlalkohol from pharmacy) or as well with ethyl alcohol spirit. But please pay ATTENTION: in no case one drop may fall on the instrument´s varnish. This diesperses the varnish immediately!!!
