Pirastro E3 Bass Viol Gut / Aluminium String
The PIRASTRO E3 bass viol tring is a gut string wound with aluminium. It is available in two gauges.
The wound string is recommended if the pure gut string is not very responsive to your bass viol. However, the aluminium winding has the effect that the string sounds a bit "more modern". This string goes well with the set if you also use the C4 wound string.
