It is possible to change the bridge of the instrument without moving the strings. The String Adjuster has to be placed besides the bridge. Changing and adjusting of bridges does not take as much time with the String Lifter than without using one, because the strings can remain on the instrument.

The exact position of the bridge can be fixed by placing it besides the existent wooden bridge and the lifting of the strings. At the same time the turning over of the pin block is avoided.
