With the new  EVAH PIRAZZI GOLD viola C string PIRASTRO have followed the wishes of the many violists who have asked them to develop a steel rope core string which has a very powerful and dark sound color with a lot of depth and brilliance. This C string reacts to the smallest bow strokes and each bow stroke is instantly converted into a very harmonious sound image.

The core material is made of a high-precision steel rope cable which is wound with a fine tungsten wire that has been specifically developed for making musical strings. By combining the use of these specialized materials with our advanced winding process we have succeeded in providing the tonal and playing characteristics that are so highly valued by the violist in the form of the EVAH PIRAZZI GOLD. Ths string of course fits well with the existing EVAH PIRAZZI GOLD, but also beautifully harmonizes with other PIRASTRO viola strings.
