Larsen Il Cannone Violin Strings

The new IL CANNONE violin strings by LARSEN try to achieve the legendary sound of Paganini's violin, the "Cannone" by Guarneri del Gesù. They offer a noble, powerful tone with bite. This creates an open, clear tone with many colours on the upper strings. The low strings reach a large width with a lot of power. What they all have in common is their quick and precise response, especially with Spicatto.

IL CANNONE single strings and sets are available in two versions in order to be able to react individually to the special requirements of your violin. The Medium version has a more moderate tension with an open, focused, powerful sound, while the Soloist version brings a fuller tone with even more presence and focus. The  strings of the two versions can also be combined with each other.

The IL CANNONE E string is made using a unique carbon steel, while the A, D and G strings have a new, synthetic multi-filament core. The A string is wound with precision rolled aluminium flat wire and the D and G strings are wound with pure silver.
